Jumped on the sale and got the 360 slim 250GB + 3 downloadable games + AC Brotherhood.  Sweet.

Good news and terrible news.

Good news = new fully functional hardware and all saved games transferred successfully.

Bad news = while downloading GoW2 the unit locked up (I blame very connection last night) and HD got wiped out . . .

I do not mind playing games over but all those paint jobs in Forza . . . hundreds of hours of work just gone . . .

It seems 250GB HD had/has a history of failures.  Had I known that, I would have kept the saved games elsewhere until I had some confidence in the unit.

MS . . . greedy after money they force unnecessarily overpriced proprietary HD on the 360.  Love Forza and other good games but they keep pushing me closer to the edge . . .
