I think I have recovered from my friend's birthday party last weekend so I should be good to run some Gears 3 Horde mode and we can keep leveling up!

Of course you can still post in the event thread to get psyched up "Lemme see your war face!" but give the new 'register for event' feature at the top of the page a try!  It will automatically update with who's signed up for the event.

I'm a maybe. Got the mast up on my sailboat tonight, and plan to launch on Saturday. If all goes well, I may head out the bay for the night - but I may have said that before....

It looks like this is some kind of a special Gears Weekend. Starting today. But it is for TDM.

This weekend in Gears of War 3 we have lots of fun surprises. This #GearsWeekend  starts today with a special “BoooooomSnipes” playlist for TDM. In this popular playlist, the default weapon load-out will be changed to Boomshot and Snipers. NOTE: You may need to restart your console to see the changes.

The ribbon for this event was originally givenThrashball Drone starting on 12/13/2011 during Gearsmas, so if you missed it then, be sure to get it now!

Also in honor of the start of training camp for the National Football League, we will have the Thrashball Drone skin available for you to choose.

I didn't see any sign of a special event, but I played some TDM with randoms. Managed to get a couple of kills after some practice. Joined up with D after he came on, and once I finished eating my ice cream, I was able to do some damage and win a couple of matches against him. That was more fun than the public stuff. I might be able to play again tonight, if it is early enough.
