FM4 Fri Night May 18th Race: Pre-'69 2-Seater Sports Car Series (CLOSED)

Main Event Race Format:  Tuned Car Short Endurance

Vehicles to be used:  2-Seater Sports Cars, 1969 or earlier (minimum weight of 2200 lb, no power limit), preferably posted in CG.

Class to be used:  E-Class (wk 1), D-Class (wk 2), C-Class (wk 3), B-Class (wk 4)

Track/s to be run:  Infineon Long (4th), Mugello (11th), Laguna Seca (18th), Nurburgring GP (25th)

Laps:  20 laps

Special Notes:  Stay with original car choice throughout series, where possible.  Winner stays in same class for next race.  For those not interested in building/tuning you can use any CG cars.  Grid by PI (lowest at front).

Start Time:  10 pm EDST, 9 pm CDST, 7 pm PDST

Invites will be sent out at:  lobby will be open about 15 minutes before the event starts.  Feel free to join.  There will be warm-up races before main event.

Secondary Races and/or games to be played after running Main Event:  R3/R2/R1 practice for LeMans race in June > this will be run on June 2nd therefore we will probably practice for the Saturday European race.

Cancelled due to Memorial Day weekend and new series starts in June.

Sounds like fun. i will try to make these when i can and i will probably use club cars unless i get some time to tune up my own(not likely though).add me only if there is extra room as i have been flakey for making races for quite a while.

You can use purchased tunes if you like.  You may have to purchase several tunes of the same car as we move up in class!

Can we get a clarification on the term Roadster again?

I always understood them to be topless cars and not mere convertables.

Roadster = 2 seater RWD, open or closed top.  Don't know if that's the correct definition but that would be my definition.

Cannot have pick-up bed, if anyone is thinking about it.

(Don't know if SROTH will be able to fit into one . . .)

Covers lots of ground that way.

Roadsters have always been cars with no top whatsoever and some even have 4 seats or a rumbleseat.
