Socom 4 anyone?

Hey guys:

I was just wondering which Qers are planning on picking up Socom 4 tomorrow?  Zipper seems really focussed on providing long term support for this game, so I'm thinking it may be a good purchase, especially since it will offer both SP and MP play value.

I actually enjoyed the beta, after having played it some more.  My initial impressions were pretty critical, but Zipper has indicated that they will be fixing many issues with a series of patches, and they also promise long term support.

If I had a PS3 I would get SOCOM in a second!! Still play it on my PS2 now and then.

The BETA left a bad impression of the game on me. I put about 8 hours into it and never felt like I had a good connection with the action of the character.

I am on a holding pattern on new games until Duke Nukem comes out.  >:(

I am in a holding pattern as well...until my expensive fall...with UC3, Batman...and Duke in June.

I have the collectors edition on reserve, along with mortal komabt. But cant get anyone of them till next pay day. :(

I have to say that I'm somewhat surprised by the low review scores.  It's currently at 66/100 on metacritic.  I look forward to reading users' reviews throughout the day to get an overall impression of what the Socom community thinks of this game.

Finally grabbed a new copy of SOCOM 4 at Walmart Saturday. It was marked down to $19.99 NEW. Played the first mission and I really liked what I saw of it.  Played the older SOCOM games on the old PS and was a big fan. Didn't feel like dropping $60 when it first came out, but eventually I knew I would pick it up when it hit my price point. :)

I understand it has co-op also, so it was a nice game to add to my PS3 library of games.

A few of us have...we could probably get some MP or coop...make sure you add AgentOrange(check the PSN friends lst fr ho to spell his PSN name) I am sure he would play
