GRD...those are some FANTASTIC pointers!!!  THANKS

Trying to find the red stone so that I can make torches but haven't found anything yet. I figure that stuff is deeper down in the ground.

Unlike total miner (several hundred blocks deep), MC is relatively shallow.  You can get to the bottom quickly if you go straight down; take a lot of ladders and torches with you.

Minecraft is now a family addiction.

It is a fight now to see who plays. lol

Wife was on it for 5 hours yesterday. All three kids want to play it, which leaves me little time to play my xbox or ps3.

Time to re-think this whole Minecraft phenomenon. :)

Are there any house chores that need to be done for $20?

My wife has him doing stuff today around the house. lol

He texted me earlier a picture of the Nether Portal he built, so either  a) he earned $20, or b) he was able to get my wife off my xbox to play.  :D

My son is flying through Minecraft. He mined diamonds, built his diamond pickaxe and farmed obsidian stone by making a shallow water trough and poured lava at the end of it. Now he has the portal built and has traveled to the Nether.

He has been all over youtube getting shortcuts for everything.

Good news for me is he earned his $20 gift card. Bad news for him, he will have to start all over on his xbox and i will take over his world....muwahhhhhhhaaa!

Coop is all assistance only.

You can collect a ton of items and the game will remember your inventory as well.

Well, that's cool then. So, when I rejoin his games, it will remember what I collected previously.

Sweet

Finally finished the all glass biosphere and the light house!  With all the mistakes made on the biosphere, I probably used twice as much glass actually needed; good planning is absolutely essential on large structures.  I really wish there could be a server that could host a dbbq world so that we can hop on it at anytime and share the creations. . .
