All the cars are looking great guys!

I am going to upgrade my car with a widebody kit over the weekend.

I'll share the blank widebody template for people to use if they are interested.  Drop me a note in here or in 360.

The shakedown will be tomorrow evening at Top Gear test track.  The guidelines I have are:

Group 1:         1:21.999 or faster (80% of power)
Group 2:         1:22.000 ~ 1:23.999 (90% of power)
Group 3:         1:24.000 or higher (100% of power)

I have not checked if the power reduction works if there are different builds in the lobby.  We'll find out.  I have a back-up plan if the Game Set-up does not allow it.

Power reduction works well at evening things out with different builds and different cars for that matter.

gHomer, that is sad to hear!  I wish you speedy recovery (no pun intended).  There's nothing like a sneeze coming up when you are going hot into the corner 3 wide . . .

That said,

This is a reminder that the shakedown is THIS evening at 9:30pm EST / 8:30pm CST.

It will be a series of short sprints (10 laps or so each) starting at 100% power for all, then grouping into

Group 1 - 100%
Group 2 - 90%
Group 3 - 80% (I think I had this backwards in previous post).

Power Grouping will stay for the entire series with 1 time adjustment (if needed) after 2 or 3 races.

I'm trying but those American Racing Rims are just not working to my eye...
...if they were just a little deeper dished it would be more pleasing to the eye.
The chrome Street Lock D Window Cragars, although steel, even look closer to me.

I really like these the most I think though:

Kind of adjusted the color and added a couple of this an that.

I guess I need to make a new Ferrado and Koni logos like on the old FM2 GT40 I did.

The shakedown run is complete.  Thanks for everyone for showing up.  We had attendance of 7.  If gHomer would have showed up, then it would have been 8.

Participants tonight and groupings for the series

GRD43L             Group 3 (-20%)
ShiBorui             Group 3 (-20%)
OG Wretch         Group 2 (-10%)
marc9600           Group 2 (-10%)
GaterHawk          Group 2 (-10%)
sudoGaron          Group 1
sroth88              Group 1

Please remember your Group as my memory fails me frequently these days.  It must be old age.

There is still a large gap across the participants but I am hoping that gap will close as time goes by.  There will be 1 time adjustment to the Power reduction after couple of races so that rest of the series will be tighter.

Keep in mind, it's not the fastest laptime that wins a long race, but consistency as Audi has proven against the Peugeots at LeMans.

1st race will be at Mugello circuit in Italy.  It is a fitting tribute to the country that produced some of the fastest cars today, including the GTA.

See you next Wednesday.  Maybe we could have a little warm up event on Friday . . .

Right, we also had a sprint race at Maple Valley after the Top Gear track shakedown which involved multiple roll overs and unintended car bowling.

The cars and the field is looking awesome!

Things were starting to look real good . . .

Then we started doing this, which Maple Valley is infamous for . . .
