Well I'd be in the top 1000 at 1:24.9 but it won't register my lap time either.

How evil is that?  Maybe you have to run Dodge Dart to post in top 1000?  I think it is just server issue right now.

Would you mind posting your car spec for comparison?  Not trying to copy; just trying to see what everyone will bring.

Power-Torque-Weight-Front

I just did it again and bettered my time to 1:21.431 (#250) but it won't register.  I see that my ghost has been updated.  A little frustrating.  There are few places where you can really gain/lose time.

132hp - 113lb.ft - 1616lbs - 52%

Here's the reason why the times are not appearing.  Copied from T10 weekly newsletter from few weeks back.  I remembered this issue.

How does this title update address issues with leaderboard cars?

With this title update, we are temporarily removing the ability for certain cars to post times on the leaderboards while we investigate refinements to our Performance Index system that will allow us to once again admit these cars back in the mix. The affected cars:

1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock
1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale
1967 Dodge Coronet W023
1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt
1971 AMC Javelin-AMX
1992 Lancia Delta Integrale EV0
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Already time for bed and I have not done anything other than testing cars in FM4 tonight.

How annoying . . .

The 16" rims look completely out of proportion to my eye...and silly.
The original racing rim sizes were 13".

I did tune the first one with 15" Cragers and even those looked out of place so I downsized.

GRD - are you planning to put up a 'spec' tune on your storefront for this series or should we just go ahead and try and tune it ourselves ? My tuning skills are 'iffy' at best, so not sure how well it would run.

edit - saw in the other forum that this is an 'open spec' series so I will see what I can come up with (will also run the club cars to see how they compare to my tune).

Why did I think this was going to be Tuesdays? Was hoping to join in but Wednesdays I can't.

OG, I don't know what I was thinking when I put in 16" in the rims section.  I also looked at it and it looks all wonky.  I do like the look of the original rim sizes.  I agree with the smaller rims so I'll have that changed for the race.

D, I just cannot commit to Tuesdays unless it is really late (about 10:30pm EST) so I had to go Wednesday.  Sorry about the days; I knew it was going to be a problem in the middle of the week.

Marc, there are already 2 cars in the garage:  OG Tuning Shop of Grip and GRD TuneWorks of Pain.  I have tested both and they are both equally capable of sub 1:22 lap times at Top Gear Track.  I have the tune on the SF but I will gift you my tune and you can play with it to suit your tastes; if you can live with 132hp.

Hey GRD,
If you would please sir, shoot me over a copy of your tune as well. I mainly want to compare mine with yours and see if I'm adjusting in the right direction. I think it would be interesting to see what your spring rates and dampers are set to for this light of a car. I'm still having problems with my current tune getting the tires up to temp. I am running slower lap times than you, 1:24.1 is my fastest so far, but my temps are only running in the high 160's. I still some speed to find.:D

and on another note. What kind of a PI hit do you think this little car is going to take in the next update? I hope they don't totally ruin the thing ya know.

This is better response than I was anticipating.

Thanks to everyone interested.

The winner of the series will receive the series Champion Badge + almost any car of their choice from the dealers (no DLC nor unicorn).

Start practicing on Top Gear Track!

GRD - Great, thanks ! This could actually be a good learning process as I plan to build my own tune and see what kind of lap times I can achieve and then run your tune (will also try OG's). Only after that will I look at your actual settings to see where they differ from mine and in so doing I will hopefully learn something new.

I have to struggle to get below 1:22 too!

Too bad the laptimes AND replay does not register on the leaderboards because of the PI issue.
