I`ll try the Archer class and join you guys next week...I just cancelled my Rift account and pre-ordered SWtoR but it`s not coming out until December the 20th so this could be fun in the meantime.

Got it going this morning,made my Archer,didn`t see anyway to make a male Archer??? anyway I saw that it supports the 360 controller,kinda,great for moving and camera but couldn`t figure out how to bring the menu for items and the like.

Also is there a way to have my set-up like other MMO`s,meaning I usually like to click with the mouse cursor on my hotbar stuff/skills instead of using the numbers 1-9...couldn`t figure that out...

Great questions Ricker.  I haven't found any way to bind my mouse buttons to keys in the game.  I had to go into my Logitech software to setup a new profile for my gaming mouse to get the buttons to bind to numbers so that it would work.

As far as the Male Archer goes, I don't believe that is possible.  I think each of the classes are played by a single sex that can only slightly be customized.  This is totally different from any other MMO I've played.  I actually don't even really consider it much of an MMO.  It's more like Diablo where you create a character and run through dungeons for loot and to advance the storyline.

You can not change the sex of your class.

I don't think you can remap any of the controls (unfortunately.)  However, on the xbox controller the important buttons are as follows:

Hold down LB and then A, B, X, Y, and RB are you combat hot slots.

pressing B while moving in any direction will dodge in that direction.

I just use the controller for moving around and combat an then the mouse keyboard for pretty much all menu navigation

Yep,reached level 6 and now they tell me it`s suggested to be level 8 for the next rescue Rose place I have to go so i`m doing sidequests...game is fun....do you need to place 4 items in the extractor or something? I tried 2 but nothing happened...

From what I've gathered so far, only some items can be extracted.  I don't know much more than that, but I haven't really used the extractor except for the one time that you're forced to for a quest.  I also haven't learned much about crafting.

Extracting is hit or miss.  Usually only rare items will return anything of value.  Crafting and item enhancement will be explained in quests a little later on.
