Now that I've watched the Cars 2 gameplay, I want Codemasters to add a car weapons dlc. That would be sooo cool to blast people out of the way with no need to scratch my car finish from the bumping!

Whoops got carried away. Sign me up as a late starter!

Lots of fun last night.  Some spectacular crashes and battles for position had me wishing the video clip feature worked with online games.  If Black and Reach can do it, why not Dirt?

Anyways, good times.

Aye good racing. We're going to be having some tweaked races next time, in-car, assists off buncha different stuff.

Y'all should definitely consider the picking up Monte Carlo pack. You get some new Gymkhana and RallyCross tracks but the Rally courses up in the mountains are really the reason to get the pack! Ice and snow on narrow pavement running through switchbacks all while staring down the cliffs speeding off to your side. This is much more reminiscent of the teeth-gritting courses from the first game.

There will also be a Shibuya DLC pack coming soon as well so save up some more points!

The car packs are fun but aren't must-haves. The do have a cheaper Colin McRae Ford MkII for 160 MSP I think with the proceeds going to charity and they offer all the pack cars individually if there's something that catches your eye.

Fun times as usual.  I'm really enjoying this title.  After everyone called it for the night, Beac and I stayed on for what, 2 hours?  Still was fun just dueling each other in all events.

Couldn't agree more with Beac on the Monte Carlo DLC.  800 MS (10 bucks) might seem kinda pricey but you do get 8 Tracks and they are very challenging.  The mix of snow/ice and then the option of Night Racing on a damn mountain, crazy.  I'm not sure if it comes with RallyX and Gymkhana, didn't we already have the Monaco tracks already?

I will be buying the next 2 DLCs cause I really dig this game and have no problems supporting it, if that means they'll continue to add to a great game.

Yep, you are correct Biz, I was thinking of two different things and wrote the wrong one. All 8 courses are straight Rally. What I wanted to add was that they aren't just MP tracks. The DLC pack also adds events to the offline Dirt Tour race series. This is considerably better than what you typically got from PGR/FM DLC which were just straight MP add-ons. IIRC the second season gets 1 new event, the third gets 2 new events and the fourth gets 3 new events.

I've been using the Fanatec a little Today between power outages in 100F +degree heat,
which is back on thankfully, and it is night and day difference between it and the controller.

Granted I'm still working on so Rally tuning and haven't looked at Jim Kato yet but I am finding my footing
so maybe next week I could give some competetion beyond just slamming into you guys to get past.

I suppose there are some recent tunnings posted somewhere on the interwebs that would cut down on the T&E?

I was tinkering with the Aspen Rallycross tracks and was able to beat the Level 6 AI on a 5 lap race, it took every one of the laps to get by them starting at 6th or lower.

Controller: Xbox 360 Controller
Assists: ABS

Car:  Lancer Evo X Rally X   ;)
Track: All Aspen Rallycross

Gear Ratio :   Short   - 1 2 3 4 5 -   Long
Downforce :   High    - 1 2 3 4 5 -   Low
Suspension :  Stiff     - 1 2 3 4 5 -   Soft
Ride Height :  Low     - 1 2 3 4 5 -   High
Differential :  Strong  - 1 2 3 4 5 -   Loose
Brake Bias :   Rear    - 1 2 3 4 5 -   Front

The numbers in red correspond to what I had the slider on.  Anyway, it works for me but we all drive different.

Come to the EVO side!

FYI, I tried this setup with the Peugeot and it was horrible lol.

Thanks, I'll give the settings a try but will probably stick with the wheel.

The fingers just aren't as nimble as they once were.
