I thought some of you may be interested to know that you can download Champions Online through Steam for free and play the game for free up to level 40.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/9880/I'm going to check it out and may switch to this from Rift as I am having hard a time justifying the $15/month subscription since my friends who talked me into getting the game have all quit.
If several of us started this at the same time we could have characters around the same level.
At any rate its worth checking out for free.
