No Forza 3 then.  I should be able to join.

Saving it for in-game, doesn't do it justice in text.   ;)

So I'm thinking of getting this game cause you guys seem like you are having fun.  I have downloaded the Dirt 2 demo since they don't have a Dirt 3 demo on the marketplace.  Can you tell me how similar 3 is to 2 in terms of how the cars handle cause I can't keep my car on the road for shit in Dirt 2 lol.

Are you driving with all the helpers on Udder? I thought the cars were too grippy in both 1 and 2. It's a bit softer in 3, not that you can't find your way off the side of the road and into the wilderness 'cause it certainly still happens. It's got a little bit of a curve to it. If I've been playing FM3 and try Dirt I'm garbage for a few races and vice versa. In Dirt I'd say you can salvage it when things start to go bad about 80% of the time just by getting completely off the throttle and working the steering, you'll likely lose position but you prolly won't break your car or cause a reset.

We were talking about this the other night but it doesn't feel like D3 is as 'fast' as the earlier versions. I know in D2 if you had the guts to keep it floored the Trailblazer events would have you breaking a sweat and gritting your teeth. They are still a challenge in D3 certainly, but I don't often get that same break-neck speed thing with the latest game.

I thought the same.  Dirt 2 I rarely spun out unless someone helped me.  Dirt 3 on my first tour race I couldn't handle the car for sheet.  But that was the thing, it was the car I couldn't handle.  Other cars seemed to drive a lot better for me.  On that note every car handles a little differently in Dirt 3.  With the Dirt 3 driver assists I think you would get used to it pretty quick, they even have a preferred driving line which I can't guarantee that you still won't hit a tree, because it sure drove me into one many times.

I'd say give the demo a few more tries and try controlling the car more than trying to win the race.  Once you get used to it, you can start to lay the hammer down.

Edit:  Forgot to add that you might want to try a different camera view as I can't seem to drive in that chase 3rd person view.  I usually run with the Hood cam.
