Goonery wins!!!! No hate here but sorry Habs fans, Pronger will bend over 8 feet and swallow Cammalerri and Gionta whole and Hartnell / Carcillo are going to put the Habs D in bodybags. Want to see how ridiculous Hartnell looks if they win the cup after a 7 game Conference final and 7 game Cup final.

Always liked the tradition of playoff hair growth but god that has to get hot and dehydrating. I'm sure many people don't realize cause they play on ice that it is really frickin hot on the bench and on the ice, I've played in an NHL arena and wow it feels like you're playing outdoors on a humid and sunny day, no wonder those guys lose like 5 - 10 pounds per game. Being really hungover didn't help at all either I guess, had to shotgun a beer on the bench to get the wobblies out.

I feel your pain thinking. I have played hung over as well...drank like 3 gatorades and all kinds of water before, during, and after to hydrate again.  :D

Whats worse than being hungover playing hockey, how about getting up early and driving 12 hours straight to a game and then getting there just in time to suit up and get on the ice.  I had a red bull before the game and one during each intermissions.

Worst part was - I was the goalie.  We won though, but it was mainly due to everyone stepping up on Defense.  They knew what I went through to be there and appreciated it.

Props to you Im Taco, it's impossible to find goalies that committed, hope they had some beers for you after the game. I've had to rent goalies a couple times and the standard rate was $40 a game, you could probably make a killing as a merc goalie  ;)

What a hell of a game yesterday with Hawks and Sharks. But the Hawks put on a hell of a game and now 1-0

A Hawks / Philly final would be great, Bfugly and Pronger would have some epic battles.

It is pretty neat to share the historic flyers comeback with our kiddies.  I have never seen anything like this.... needing to win a tie-breaker to even make playoffs, then down 3-0 in series and an overtime win in game 4...and 3-0 in game 7 to come back and win 4-3 after losing boucher and earlier in the playoffs jeff carter.  pretty special to watch...i've lived through a lot of disappointing flyers teams.  I was stunned to see them win 6-0 game 1 last night... i didn't think they'd have the legs.

I'd be more worried about the Habs not having spines, saw a bunch of Habs players that looked like they didn't want to get their jerseys wrinkled last night. Montreal is going to have to grow some balls quick here or it might already be over.

Plus, the Flyers were really in Halak's face, banging away at the net. The Penguins and Capitals never did that. It will be a big adjusment for the Habs to make.

Since I am a Lightning fan, I just want to see some good playoff Hockey. It was something special to see what the Flyers did against Boston, and, also special to see the Habs take out Washington AND Pittsburgh.

Anyway, I am watching still cuz there is nothing like playoff Hockey!!

GO LIGHTNING!!   ;D

That is true.  I usually think of myself first as a football fan but there is really something special about a 7 game series in the other major sports... when its good its REALLY good.  I am still high off the 2008 Phils WS win (we don't see a lot of championships around here ;) )

TO bad those days are long gone, got to say one thing though.  When I worked up North I was offered a job at a local skateboard, snowboard shop to learn how to ref hockey games.  I went from reffing to playing but the nice part was I got great deals on gear.  The Itech rep came in and hooked me up on an amazing set of pads and a helmet for about a fifth of regular price.  The pads they gave me were black, with white and grey accents so they matched perfectly.  But to get hooked up and a airbrushed mask that was just a step or two under top of the line was a surprise.  I was always afraid to wear it because I felt if I lost a game with that kinda mask on I would be laughed at.  But then again a mens league goalie with a mask like that was kinda intimidating.

Taco, that is a sweet deal on equipment, and that mask looks pretty wicked.
