NHL Playoffs
« on: May 04, 2010, 02:54:40 PM »
I didn't see a thread on the current NHL playoffs so just wondering who you think will make it to the finals and win the Stanley Cup? Being in Chicago I have to go with the Blackhawks although those Canucks have been playing them hard!! I honestly don't think the Blackhawks we're prepared and you could see the frustration out on the ice.

Have been watching a bit here and there. Hoping for either a Det / Pit rematch or a Chi / Pit Cup match. Overall hoping the Sidney Crosbys, uh I mean the Pittsburgh Penguins take it again but Chicago winning would be great too.

I meant to start a playoff pool here but didn't think there was the interest for it. Maybe next playoffs or even start of next year, have trades and stuff, maybe a DBBQ award for pool winner??

OK, who really would have thought that Montreal would upset both Washington and Pittsburgh?

I just watched the last few minutes of the game. Almost reminded me of the 1970s Habs. Taking out some big teams, they might just go all the way and bring Stanley home.

It's just nice to still see a Canadian team in the playoffs.

It's just nice to see Detroit and Pittsburgh gone....lol

Yeah...Somebody else will be in the finals  ;D

Me personally, I'm pulling for the sharks....but man, Montreal has got me tuned in...

Now if the Flyers would just lose already!!! >:(

The Flyers would lose, if the Bruins would decide to win. It is like they have abandoned Tuuka Rask.

Originally had Washington over Chicago in the finals (both taking out last years finalists Detroit and Pittsburgh).

Now that Halak is doing his best impression of Patrick Roy (or the Canadiens are looking like the '06 Oilers and/or Hurricanes),  then I am picking Chicago over Montreal ...

Wonder if the Flyers will make history again coming back from 3-0?

Will be interesting to see how the boys from Montreal handle the rough and tumble Flyers or Bruins.  Not that the Penguins or Caps were push overs ...

Some good hockey, that is for sure.

living outside of Philly for 10 years I have to hope for them.  Although Recchi is one of my favorite players (bruins).  I think I just have to cheer for the Flyers.

I am Canadian

Like Speed Demon and living in the Chicago area, going with the Blackhawks.  They should match up well with San Jose, but anything can happen in a 7 game series.
