NHL Playoffs

Do you think there are too many teams that make the playoffs or would you leave it the way it is.  Are you in favor of using the shootout in the playoffs or not?

NO shoot-outs in playoffs.......I love the Sudden Death unlimited OT.  ;D

Number of teams in fine with me.

I was thinking of you Steve watching the Flyers/Rangers game on NHL Network. I was wondering how u were feeling today.  :D

I agree with Bud Man.  I think the number of teams is just fine.  I am not a big fan of the shootout, but think its ok in the regular season but playoffs need to be overtime until its settled.  Man, what would the Coyotes have been without the shootout this year?!?!  NHL record for shootouts and shootouts won.  Go Coyotes and Devils  :)

Well, I think that the number of teams is fine...i liked the old way from the ealry 80's where the top 16 teams in the standing made the playoffs. Was more interesting as you had different match-ups that were cool. And i don't want the shoot-out in the play-offs...love the 3 OT sudden death.

Pretty good buzz around town and on the sports radio stations.  Lets see if they can do something with the opportunity.

The format that decides who gets in playoffs doesn't work, should simply be the top 8 teams per conference that get in.

NHL Playoffs as they are now are great. Big effin NO to the shootout in playoffs. Hockey = Team, Shootout = Individual, hope a bunch of douchey suits who have never laced up don't change that for the extra 1500 bandwagon fans it may draw.
