I forgot to tell you congrats on the win Torque! I need to figure out what the trick is to keep up with you guys. I guess I need get out of the comfort zone and start squealing some tires in the turns.

Study the replays is the best I can tell you X.
Watching how others take tehir lines and what gear that are in and when makes a big difference.

Yeah, I thought about that. I think I'm gearing down to low before the turns and loosing time. I have been doing the textbook outside inside outside in the turns and trying to be able to give it the gas at the apex. Do you guys brake for a turn only, then down shift in the turn? I usually downshift before the turn to setup for the turn. It will be a hard habit to break.

I have also tried going into the red line and shifting before over rev and also shifting right at red line.

I'll study the replays.
Thanks.

Can someone gift me the last IROC race please? I didn't get the option to save it since I finished so far behind :(

X, I always shift well into the redline just before the rev limiter hits. Some cars let you go deep into the redline, some are short. Cars with race valvetrains typically have no buffer. Once your in the red, it's rev limiter time.

I downshift and brake in the straight. BUT, I also tend to keep braking to the apex that messes up coming off the apex cause my front tires are skidding and can't get traction. I can tune cars to my driving style to help with this. It might be time for me to buy a wheel.

If I gift the replay will I not have it anymore? If so, I will gift it to you after I study it a little. Nunzie, thanks for sharing your race style. My goal is to be able to stay with the front pack consistently through our races.

A race lesson class from Torque and Sublime would be outstanding. Both of those guys have passed me on the inside like I was in a lower class car. It's got me scratching my head.

Yeah, I remember Sublime being behind me being very patient waiting for the right spot to pass me. I knew he would pass me, but I didn't want to give up my position without a fight. Also, I didn't want to bump him when he did make his move. If I can remember all this, I must have had my mind on the rear view mirror instead of through the front wind shield and my driving line. ;D lol!

I can post a replay up to my storefront if you want. As far as a class....ooo I'm not a good teacher, however, I can try to look at your laps from the replay and make some suggestions.

I am running the manual with the steering wheel and driving from the cockpit view. Driving behind the car with the auto with a controller might make it a little more challenging, but if I can help....I would be happy to ;)

I know one of the best things you can do is be consistant...every lap, every time. You need to have a good memory as to when you brake and release and then roll on the gas.
