We are looking to start up some hockey here at DBBQ this fall. If you don`t already own NHL 09 this game that can be purchased for bargain right now and even cheaper in the weeks ahead. We are looking to organize something with a schedule that is flexible, not too grueling and the emphasis will be on having fun. Smiley

Reply below if you would like to play...

I will grab a copy for sure if there is enough interest. I also would be willing to help out where/when needed. I do miss the organized hockey that was run at GUG back in the day IAC. I think if we get atleast 8 people then this should be alot of fun.

Thanks REDBELL, Hockey was the very first organized online leagues I ever ran on XBL even pre-dating all the leagues I ran on GUG back in the day. I used to have a lot of fun organizing everything, hoping to do the same again  Smiley

Thanks for offering to help out too, Franki is going to lending a hand as well.

Out of curiosity, how many game a week are we expecting to play?

Depending on the people willing to participate I guess 2 match per week as we did with GUG.
It is easy to play one match home and one away against the same team one the same night.

We all like hockey but we all like to play other games as well so 2 games a week is not too much.

FWIW...NHL 10 appears to be right around the corner.  The demo came out last week.  I just traded in my copy of NHL 9 to get better value for my trade.
