Something a little different. . .
« on: February 23, 2017, 10:13:34 AM »
I have always loved racing these toy cars, and a niche segment is the FWD touring car.  EVERYONE runs 4WD touring cars and they are by far the most popular - but most real personal vehicles are FWD, so...

It's really fun to run against guys running 4WD and beat them with a FWD R/C car.  The 4WD's are faster and a lot more forgiving, but when you get a FWD setup just right it can hold it's own, especially on a larger track (especially if it has rounded/flowing corners).

Anyway, I have a few FWD cars and here is the latest build I have going right now...

Tamiya FF04 Evo (also have the same car in the "Black Edition" - all the blue aluminum is black).  :D

Added the Tamiya aluminum suspension mounts and blocks...

These things are so cool!! I love the FWD'ers.  Thanks for looking and will post some more pics when I get the bodies done - have a Castrol Civic and the R-line VW Scirocco.  ;)
All give some, but some give all. Thank you veterans for my freedom.
