Interest in Forza 6 Series or Weekly Game Night
« on: March 08, 2016, 11:41:29 AM »

I know there are other sites out there that have weekly races (weekly doesn't necessarily mean weeknight), some pretty serious and some just for fun, but wanted to see if there was a group here at the Q that would want to participate in a weekly race night.

We could do a class per night, or pick a class and do a series - sorta like we used to do here.

Please respond with your interest:
  • Name
  • Night(s) you could race
  • Best time to do it (please use EST for time)
  • Series or one-offs preference

  • a race fan, Mon/Tue/Fri, 8-10 EST, prefer series.
  • Neptune49, Wed or Fri, 9 EST, not specified
  • VanishedNine, Fri, Evening, not specified
  • GRD 4 3L, Mon-Fri-Sat,9+EST/6+EST/9+EST, any

And I don't mind running it or keeping up with it, I think GRD may not mind as well.
I may try and get some non Q'ers to join in as well, so if you have someone on your friends list, invite'em!

Thanks!

I just got a G920 wheel a few weeks ago and have been wanting to get more into racing.  If this takes off I could definitely try to give it a go.  I'm good on Wednesday and Friday nights starting at 9 EST (After my kids go to bed).

Don't plan around me or anything, but if it's going down, I'll be there.

GRD was running Saturday races...and had a decent turn out...maybe he can chime in on a good day...Friday's would be ok for me as well.

GRD 4 3L
Mon (9pm+EST), Fri (6pm+EST), Sat (9pm+EST)
Any races

Thank you for posting this a race fan!  I was pondering over after racing (?!?) with you couple of days ago.

I've been to half dozen racing leagues (GSR, RR, VVM, ICR, 2O4F, SimRacers, etc.) over last 3+ years and have come up with a list of TGR/TGW (things gone right / wrong) to retain people & keep them interested.  I would like to come back home to get our core group excited about racing here at DBBQ and also attract new people.  It's a long list so I won't list them here BUT it is absolutely critical to have minimum of 2 lobby hosts to maintain consistency/continuity without missing a week.

a race fan, i'll join you + races and contribute however I can.

Well. . . I guess we'll just let this go.  I know we're all busy and how hard it is to find time sometimes.

Was hoping for 8-10 "regulars" giving us a shot at having maybe 4-5 for every race, more on a good turnout.

I will say, I have been enjoying the new Meguiar's car pack.  ;D

I love the Porsche pack.  2004 911 GT3 is a huge disappointment (both look and performance) but 2015 Cayman is a perfect car for me.

It's been a long time since we had 8~10 regulars . . . that was back at launch of FM4.

I was just figuring a decent number to commit would be around 10, maybe a couple less, because you know every week that stuff comes up for people.  Oh well, we can maybe try again this fall.  Forza 7 maybe. . . ???   ;D

I know this post is old but is there any interest in starting something up like this again?
